Hello! My name is Aakarsh Saggar, and I'm an aspiring mechanical engineer. I'm passionate about building interdisciplinary engineering projects, specializing in the multifaceted world of robotics and engineering..

I am currently a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor certificate in Computer Science. Check out my projects!

Between school, organizations, and my personal time, I have worked on numerous engineering-focused projects, with my most recent being a the complete Lunar Flagpole mounting system for NASA's Artemis Moon Missions.

Design

Proficient in Onshape, SOLIDWORKS, and Autodesk Inventor. Familiar with NI MultiSim for circuit design. Experienced with large scale, integration-heavy cad projects. 

Programming

Certified Java Specialist, Proficient in Arduino C, Raspberry Pi stack with Linux.

Additive Manufacturing

Extensive experience in DFAM, slicing, and post-processing FDM prints using engineering-grade materials.  Experience with Cura, Bambu, Eiger, and PrusaSlicer. 

Leadership

Skilled in starting, managing, and working alongside large teams of professionals. Guiding design teams to reach goals under steep time constraints.  

Machining

Experience with lathes, mills, bandsaws, grinders, sanders, saws, drill presses, and TIG welding. Skilled in using DFM knowledge to create machinable parts.
